Business Intelligence Developer/Analyst Job in Albany 12206, New York US
Primary responsibilities are to provide functional analysis and requirements, delivery and testing for enterprise analytics and reporting. Also responsible for leading and facilitating groups across all levels of the organization to deliver valued outcomes. Outcomes include improved analytics, adoption of improved methodologies, fundamental understanding of how to use Business Analytics to drive business decisions and implement sound business solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Informatics, Statistics, Finance, Health Care, Computer Science or related field required. 7-10 years demonstrated in-depth experience and knowledge in analytics, analysis, or related field or area may be substituted for a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in leading, developing and supporting Business Intelligence projects or quality improvement initiatives required.
- Minimum of 5 years analytical and/or data analysis experience that includes but not limited to: querying structured data sets, evaluation of business process and problems, feasibility studies, preparing detailed business requirements, supporting end users and system testing required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in one of the following: Cognos, Crystal Reports, Business Objects or SAP products preferred.
- Experience in the health care or managed care industry preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability of analytics, including but not limited to statistical, regression and complex analysis required.
- Demonstrated Data Warehouse concepts and knowledge of best practices and standard methodologies required.
- IBM Certified Solution Expert - Cognos BI, preferred.
- Strong SQL skills required.
