Business Intelligence Lead Job in New York 10017, New York Us
Hachette Book Group seeks to fill the position of Business Intelligence Lead. This position will provide the necessary resources to effectively manage our business intelligence reporting platforms, including working with the business to develop a reporting roadmap, transition from legacy systems to Microstrategy platform, develop a self service reporting environment, and manage the Business Intelligence Analyst.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish and develop enterprisewide data analysis and reporting solutions that enable the business to be more effective in planning and decision making
• Work with key business stakeholders to define and prioritize business reporting needs and ensure that detailed functional specifications are created for report requests
• Design and develop executive dashboards which allow stakeholders to produce critical reports
• Work to analyze and consolidate data and metrics across multiple sources, platforms and systems
• Manage the end user support for day-to-day use of the business intelligence reporting platform
• Facilitate meetings with all levels of the business and provide reporting recommendations as needed
• Coordinate business and technology resources to overcome challenges and resolve issues
• Work with the technology training department to develop training materials
Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES REQUIRED
• 3-5 years experience in a lead role. Microstrategy specific skills preferred
• Experience managing a small team and multiple end-user groups
• Prior experience in a business analyst role
• Demonstrated experience working with the system development life cycle
• Demonstrated experience with system deployment and training
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills
• An ability to attend to details and juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Solid computer and technical, including MS Office Suite, SQL
• Polished communication skills interpersonal skills
