For our client we are looking for an
Business Intelligence Manager
Implement and manage the corporate Business Intelligence unit in the Netherlands (Limburg), under the direction of the Portfolio Manager.
The major goal of the unit will be to capture, store and analyze industry, competitor and market information, from primary and secondary sources, and to generate and provide intelligence and insights to the business (all management levels across the organization world-wide) in the form of regular and ad-hoc reports and other deliverables (press-clipping, etc.)
Functie omschrijving
· Manage the market quantification data (Stratplan PCMIS) process and database;
· Perform regular and ad-hoc industry/market, competitor and consumer analysis (upstream PCM), including major players and trends;
· Establish and deliver a regular news / press-clipping service to the organization;
· Support the business in devising, developing and interpreting Market Research studies;
· Provide and fill in the market data for business planning templates models (LCD, Marketing Plans, etc.);
· Coordinate the development and maintenance of the Corporate Balanced Scorecard (content-wise);
· Maintain the liaison with the central BI unit in Germany to exploit synergies;
· Support senior management in the reporting of strategy, market, industry and competitive data to Germany;
· Research, identify, negotiate with and manage data and research providers sources (internal and external);
· Perform exploratory (data mining) analyses of internal business data to identify opportunities for improvement at strategic level;
· Be the Functional Application Manager (FAM) for the BI application (content perspective) to be developed by ICT.
Working conditions:
· Frequent international travelling.
Work Relations:
· Hierarchical and functional reporting to the Portfolio Manager in the Strategy and Staff division;
· Manager of a small team of Data Analysts;
· Interactions with managers staff across the company, as customer of their data knowledge inputs and supplier of intelligence and insights.
Functie eisen
· Graduate / Master in Business Administration, Business Intelligence, Market Research or equivalent.
· Strategic and company-wide vision;
· A minimum of 3-4 years of experience working in business / competitor intelligence, knowledge management or market research in / for multinational organizations;
· Solid analytical skills driven by an acute business sense;
· Strong interpersonal communication skills;
· Great team worker and networker;
· Strong organizational and process management skills;
· Proven track record of delivering reliable and timely information and intelligence to a wide range of audiences;
· Experience in identifying and negotiating with data research suppliers;
· Familiarity with data management platforms systems will be a plus (no technical IT background required);
Fluent in English;
