Job Summary: The Business Intelligence Project Coordinator will support the Personal Insurance Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC) in a project driven, team-oriented and customer focused environment. The role of the BI Project Coordinator is to enable a cross functional team to become more productive, organized, and focused on delivering customer value within expected timeframes. This individual will support project coordination and demand management functions that require solid business acumen, critical thinking skills and the ability to ensure customer solutions are aligned to business strategy. In addition, perform customer communication which will require strong communication /interpersonal skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams. The BI Project Coordinator will have the opportunity to collaborate with Project Management Office (PMO), business users, IT functions and various levels of management. Responsibilities: ¿Facilitate discussions with customers, business leaders and end users of BI tools/reports, assist with clarifying reporting need, identify need for data analysis and facilitate the completion of user acceptance testing. ¿Oversee service demand for a cross-section of the business community (customers, stakeholders, partners etc...), proactively forecast business need, ensure ¿right fit¿ solution and provide status updates to customers. ¿Responsible for assembling work execution teams, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying and managing appropriate resources needed, and developing and managing schedule to ensure timely delivery. ¿Work with internal teams and partners to drive BICC customer engagements, end-to-end, from intake, scoping to SOW development, through delivery and ongoing production support. ¿Build and maintain relationships with customer business units, IT, PMO, and other business stakeholders within the business intelligence community. ¿Ensure sourcing arrangements with other shared services organizations inside and outside of the BICC are clearly understood, and support requirements, costsand SLAs . ¿Prepare and present weekly status reports and service metrics to management including status on work completed, work planned, and financial status. ¿Maintains and coordinates department SharePoint site including central document repository and related communication activities. ¿Support the assessment and refining of current solution/product offerings, internal processes and automation, and associated future-state roadmaps to support business alignment. ¿Possess an understanding and help to refine BlCC procedures and policies needed to ensure effective execution of assigned tasks. ¿Coordinate special projects activities. Skills/Experience: ¿Knowledge of the PC insurance industry and workflow preferred ¿Ability to plan and manage projects; Knowledge of project management methodology ¿Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple deadlines and deliverables ¿Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical skills and problem-solving skills ¿Ability to facilitate meetings and coordinate activities with others ¿Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills ¿Ability to use tools such as Excel/Access to create team performance metrics ¿Sharepoint experience a plus Travelers is an equal opportunity employer.
