Business Management Financial Analyst recruitment
General Description:
BlackRock's Corporate Services' Group provides a range of office management, infrastructure support and administrative services that include the day-to-day operations of BlackRock offices, the design and maintenance of our internal systems and the support tools necessary to run a company efficiently and cost effectively. Corporate Services' is comprised of six teams: Business Continuity Management, Business Services, Design Construction, Facilities Management, Real Estate and Security.
This Financial Analyst position provides overall financial support for Corporate Services, including, but not limited to capital and operating budgeting, invoice processing, financial analysis and reporting. This position will work closely with Business Finance, Accounting, Accounts Payables, Sourcing Vendor Management, Technology and Human Resources.
Work Experience Requirements:
- BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business
- Minimum five years of experience in Corporate Services / facilities / construction or related industry
- Solid experience working with financial statements and general ledger
- Accounts payables and overall basic accounting skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Strong analytic and mathematic skills
- Financial analysis and reporting skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proven ability to create concise reports based upon specifications requested by management
- Must be able to work independently, with little or no supervision
- Must have a demonstrated ability to exercise good business judgment
Job Description:
Provide overall financial support for Corporate Services, including:
- Facilitate operating and capital budget development process
- Advise facility managers during the formulation of their budgets
- With Business Finance, develop and prepare forecast models to analyze trends
- Review department actual expenses versus budget and communicate accordingly
- Prepare narrative summaries outlining key operational issues impacting financial performance
- Complete detailed analysis and research as needed
- Oversight of accounts payables and invoicing process for Corporate Services
- Roll out of new systems and processes for expense tracking and validation
- Prepare and track capital project documentation and performance relative to timelines and financial targets for those projects
- Creation of value-adding reporting, process improvements and ad hoc analyses as needed
- Various special projects and ad hoc requests from Head of Corporate Services and COO as needed
