Business Manager
Our client, a tier 1 investment bank, is looking for someone to join their EMEA Equity Capital Markets business. The business originates, structures, prices and executes Equity and Equity linked deals for clients predominantly in EMEA. The business works very closely with IB and other corporate finance businesses, as well as with Markets businesses (Trading, Sales, and Research). The client-base includes major corporations, financial institutions, governments, non-profit organizations.
We require an Associate/VP to work with the EMEA GIB Product Business Manager in driving the business and F+BM agenda
Key responsibilities :
- Identification, facilitation and pursuance of business objectives and opportunities
- Business reviews, resources analysis and budgetary process
- Assist with the definition and implementation of cross-regional processes and procedures, reflecting risks and control requirements as well as regional nuances
- Assist with the definition and rollout of Origination technology
- Expenses management
- Working closely with Business managers in Asia and North America, and Business managers in other Corporate finance and markets businesses
- Working closely with all control and support functions, and the business, in the day to day management of the business and in representing the business on various ad hoc projects
Skills and Experience:
- An understanding of Investment Banking, and / or Equity, and / or Credit, products , systems and processes
- A thorough understanding and appreciation of risks and controls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- An ability to work under pressure in a very dynamic environment, with an attention to detail
- An ability to multi-task and dynamically prioritise in the face of ever-changing and sometimes conflicting demands
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- An ability to build relationships and influence others, across multiple disciplines and across levels of seniority
- A self-starter with an excellent attitude, motivation and an ability to learn quickly
- A team player with strong oral and written communication skills
