Business Manager – Global Transactional Services & Asia – WIB recruitment
Role Definition
This position is required to participate as a member of the Global Transactional Services Asia Leadership team to deliver the business objectives by ensuring the GTS Asia Leadership Teams ability to operate efficiently and effectively, and to ensure operational and strategic alignment across the enterprise.
Major Accountabilities
Support the GM - GTS Asia to ensure she is able to operate efficiently effectively Managing the GTS Asia Head Office
- Effectively manage the workflow of the support / enabling functions to ensure that the GM is effectively supported and the Leadership Team operates efficiently
WIB ET and GTS Asia LT preparation
- Fortnightly WIB ET meeting: review all WIB ET memos and material and flag / brief / make recommendations to address anything of relevance to GM prior to meeting
- WIB ET offsite: review all WIB ET material and prepare background material for GM
- GTS LT offsites: review all GTS LT material and prepare background material and talking points for GM
Business Unit Performance Review preparation
- Monthly GM/ GE 1:1: Manage end-to-end process - Prepare background information for GM by co-ordinating input from GTS Asia LT and drafting material as necessary
- Bi-Monthly Portfolio Business Unit review: Manage end-to-end process - Prepare background information for GM by co-ordinating input from GTS Asia LT and drafting material as necessary
People activity (working with People team)
- GM and GM1 performance review: Managing the timeline and co-ordinating the process to ensure delivery to People milestones
- GM and GM1 Annual objectives setting: Managing the timeline and co-ordinating the process to ensure delivery to People milestones
- Assisting in the co-ordination GTS Asia recruitment for GM
- Ensure GTS LT develops an appropriate action plan to address the opportunity areas highlighted from the SPS survey etc
Westpac Internal External Communications/ reporting
Preparing presentation pack and speaker notes for GM when presenting to internal business partners.
Westpac Board report etc.- Co-ordinating with GTS Asia LT to prepare articles
BAFT IFSA papers to be reviewed and preparation of additional briefing notes
Embed practices to ensure operational alignment efficiency of all business groups within GTS
- Westpac Internal Communications
- GTS Fortnightly Report: co-ordinate across GTS Asia LT to develop report for GM discussion at WIB ET
- GTS LT meeting: define agenda with GM and co-ordinate / prepare material as necessary
- GM Communications: Manage end-to-end process
- GTS Quarterly forum: Manage end-to-end process - design structure, develop and co-ordinate content across GTS Asia LT and guest speakers, and help execute
Ensure strategic alignment of all business groups within GTS
- Input to the GTS Asia BSR process, including review of BSR submissions

Knowledge and Experience
- Desirable - 5 years experience within the WIB business
- Associate level consultant 3-4 years experience looking for entry pathway to biz
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability
- Ability to effectively operate, present, influence and negotiate at a senior levels.
- Accountability for results through consistent and rigorous use of WIB business processes
- Proven results delivery
- Understand apply commercial financial principles
- Demonstrate a broad-based view of issues, events and activities and a perception of their longer term impact or wider implications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications preferable
