Business Manager – Maternity Leave Assignment recruitment

The Business Management Team, based in Sydney, is responsible for the ongoing management and reporting of Macquarie Capital's global profitability, including forecasting and budgeting, managing the global transfer pricing process, debtor management and revenue attribution processes. With an existing member taking Maternity Leave, the opportunity for a Business Manager, with financial expertise, is now available.
Reporting to a Divisional Director within the business and interacting with key stakeholders across the Group, you will be exposed to the full array of finance and business reporting.
You will be responsible for:
- revenue pipeline management, including monthly liaison with a matrix of Regional and Industry Group contacts
- ad-hoc financial analysis and modelling, capturing future costs, business performance and other key drivers
- the annual budgeting process and financial strategy
- monthly detailed reporting to the Group Head, Industry Group and Regional Heads, as well as reporting to the Global EDs
- oversight of the Sydney Business Management Team, consisting of 4 executives.
You will:
- submit a covering letter and concise resume as one document
- hold appropriate tertiary qualifications in an Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; CA, ACA or CIMA qualification will be highly regarded
- demonstrate a stable and progressive work history in a comparable role, ideally in an investment banking environment where exposure to MA, ECM and Debt Markets has been an element of the role
- have gained relevant experience in a business environment where managing and mentoring a team has been required
- possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills and a natural talent in building relationships with key industry sector heads as well as with those based in other regions
- be commercial in your work approach, detail-oriented, methodical and thrive in a dynamic business environment
