This is a new role in a foreign private bank which is looking to expand in Singapore. The Business Manager will play a critical leadership role in supporting the Relationship Managers and ensuring a robust operational environment for the RMs.
You will be responsible for managing a team of customer managers, ensuring that the front office complies with processes, procedures and the governance framework and developing and implementing a sound framework for the day to day operations of the private bank.
You will work closely with the support teams on the necessary controls and policies. Key responsibilities include liaising with Compliance, Operating Risk, Credit, Operations, Finance and Middle Office to ensure a smooth process for clients.
You will ensure the efficiency of front, middle back office activities through active management of the related process and controls. With it, you will work closely with various office teams on process issues, identify potential risk areas and manage related improvement projects. You will also be the go to person for all new policies and processes in the areas of compliance, loans, settlement, credit and operations
To qualify you should be degree-qualified with at least 7 years of experience in private banking operations, have a sound idea of front to back processes and a strong awareness of potential issues across the front to back processes.
