Business Manager recruitment
A leading Financial Services Organisation is recruiting for a Business Manager/Senior Business Manager. You will join the Business Management team that is primarily responsible for financial, project, procurement and resource management in the Technology Department
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing the department operating budget, as well as the IT group and maintenance budgets, and ensuring that the expenses are within the approved limits by monitoring the expenses on a monthly basis and highlighting any variance to the various stakeholders
- Overseeing the IT procurement of hardware, software, services or consultancy, and reviewing these procurement processes to ensure their effective delivery and control, efficient turnaround and timely response
- Providing proactive management support to other managers to ensure consistency in all business management activities as well as providing administrative support to the project office to ensure successful project execution
- Managing the resource plan and forecast, and monitoring headcount and staff movements providing monthly status reports on budget, project execution, service delivery, control audits and manpower for analysis and decision making
- Defining the standard project System Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology and the set of project management tools and reports, which allow projects to be delivered in a repeatable and predictable manner ensuring adherence to the SDLC through project quality reviews to help the organisation achieve project excellence
- Managing project execution for projects relating to the Project Business Management Office, and attending to audit queries as required
- Co-ordinating corporate initiatives
Qualifications/Skills:
- You should possess a good Degree with at least 4-6 years of relevant project SDLC, vendor, business and financial management experience, preferably in an end-user IT organisation.
- You should also be a good team player with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
