Overview
Your role sits across the Finance and Risk businesses which are responsible for delivering strategic technical solutions across the Chief Finance Office (CFO) and the Chief Risk Office (CRO). You will be sat within a team that is responsible for operational excellence, governance and control across the Finance and Risk portfolios
Key Responsibilities
The main functions of your role are to provide:
- Domain specific, client and portfolio level reporting to track financials against agreed budget.
- Variance analysis on portfolio, client and project financials in liaison with Project and Programme Managers.
- Support to Senior Directors and Managing Directors within the IT Change arena by providing regular and accurate data, to enable Project / Portfolio decisions to be prioritised
- Support and to maintain portfolio level governance control procedures for managing portfolio wide initiatives such as resource utilisation, financials and portfolio development and maintenance.
- A review of Business Management processes and procedures specific to Finance and Risk and recommending improvements, feeding back requirements into Central Business Management (BM) team
- Quality assurance review checks to monitor the quality of project forecasting/reporting and to drive improvements across the portfolio.
- Assistance in tool development and roll out as required .
Your additional core responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of domain specific budget targets within Business Solutions and Application Services
- Detailed domain and programme level analysis – You will act as financial expert in support to Senior Domain Leads (Directors / Managing Directors)
- Financial impact analysis for significant strategic and regulatory spend.
- Delivery of reporting requirements via central BM team.
- Integration between Business Solutions Program Managers, Application Services Sub Domain Leads and Finance Business Managers
Candidate requirements
You will have:
- Prior Business Management skills
- Prior Investment Banking experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong communication skills
You will be:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
