Job Title: Business Operations Analyst

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands 

Purpose of Position: To provide a professional and comprehensive support service covering all aspects of operational finance matters for the business. You will build cross-functional relationships with other departments, becoming an integral part of both the Sales Department and Business Support Department, working directly with the SVP of Global Sales and the VP of Global Business Support. You will work across multiple countries and liaise with relevant local finance controllers. The successful candidate will engage in key company projects such as mergers, acquisitions and strategic partnerships as appropriate as well as company/employee administrative duties. 

Key Criteria:

- Preferred candidates will have Big Four experience (or similar) combined with software industry experience.

- Very strong IT literacy with an expertise in MS Excel and abilities in SQL, OLAP, VBA.

- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.

- Comfortable dealing with C-Level execs. 

Key Responsibilities: 

- Preparation of both regular and ad-hoc reports, both from a revenue and cost perspective, including detailed and in depth trend and variance analyses

- Ownership of forecasting / budgeting, keeping such models constantly up to date.- Assisting in defining KPIs (to the extent that they do not already exist) and establishing reporting thereon.

- Building a relationship with the head of Channel Sales and his team such that you become the go-to person for all operational finance matters, and are a trusted and valued member of the team.

- Assist in the business case preparation and review for potential sales promotions and strategic initiatives undertaken by Channel Sales.

- Build a strong link to the Sales Operations team, including the approval of all monthly billings to distributors.

- Maintain accurate accruals for the Channel Sales department, including rebate accounting, accrued MDF and other standard cost items, including liaison with relevant local finance controllers.

- Have complete ownership of numbers for the sales team on a continuous basis, including reconciliation of month-end numbers submitted by the team to reported finance numbers. Provide ‘early warning’ to sales heads when actual numbers being achieved show signs of variance from plans. 

- Preparation of compensation plans for the entire team, and oversee quarterly bonus calculations, approval process and reporting.

- Engage with the legal department on contract amendments as directed by business owners, providing feedback on draft agreements.

- Follow up on execution and implementation of signed agreements as needed.- Engage in key projects, incl. mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and strategic partnerships as appropriate.

- Address any ad hoc queries relevant to Channel Sales, and liaise with Finance and other departments as needed.

- Ability to attend with or even represent the SVP Global Sales at revenue reporting or other review meetings with C Level execs and confidently report the numbers.
