As a key member of the NVIDIA Business Planning Analytics team, the Business Optimization Specialist/Manager develops and runs optimization and forecasting tools to improve operational and business planning decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the supply/demand optimization (SDO) model for NVIDIA.
- Create business and product scenarios to improve NVIDIA's profitability and market share.
- Present SDO model results to senior management and work with Operations to implement recommended decisions.
- Enhance integration of SDO model's data infrastructure with NVIDIA's existing tools.
- Develop and extend SDO model into a full product planning tool.
- Develop tools and models to improve product demand forecasting.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Master's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 plus years of relevant work experience with deterministic optimization methodology, including mixed integer programming, network flows, dynamic programming and approximation heuristics.
- Experience with statistical analysis and modeling a plus.
- Experience using tools like CPLEX, Gurobi, ExpressMP, SAS (OptModel) highly desirable.
- Must have advanced Excel skills as well as knowledge of VBA and SQL.
- Strong track record of using analysis to deliver business results.
- Self-starter who can take charge of complex tasks with minimal direction.
- Excellent communication and able to work well in a very open team environment.
- Technology company experience preferred.
