Business Partnering Manager recruitment

This position will provided the candidate with will a varied and interesting opportunity to use their Financial Control, Business Partnering and financial Analysis skills.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

•Providing month and year to date commentary on performance against forecast and prior year. This involves liaising with other members of the Treasury Business Control team to collate commentaries.
•Building strong relationships with Front Office areas supported by Treasury Business Control team
•Preparation of cost forecasts and medium term plans for Front Office areas supported by Treasury Business Control team. Work with the business areas to manage the process during forecasting periods, to achieve targets and deadlines.
•Providing commentaries on balance sheet moves for the business areas supported by Treasury Business Control team. This part of the role in particular requires good working relationships to be established with the Front Office
•Development of additional reporting and analysis as required e.g. developing processes to better understand the daily P+L and relationship with balance sheet
•Challenging income forecasts Front Office areas supported by Treasury Business Control team.
•Being the contact point for Planning and Analysis Finance team on queries relating to Front Office areas supported.
•Development and preparation of International treasuries month end pack. This report is being enhanced based on feedback from the Director of International Treasuries.
•Controlling production of the International section of the Wholesale Markets and Treasury and Trading daily P+L report. Enhancing current process by implementing additional controls.
•Setting up control procedures to ensure the GL, daily consolidated P+L report and month end management accounts are consistent for the International Treasuries.
•Setting up processes to assess the control environments of the Finance areas in International Treasuries.
•Preparation of cost forecasts and medium term plans for International Treasuries
•Being the Finance contact point for International Treasuries team within Front Office

This role provides the opportunity to work closely with the Planning and Business Analysis team for Treasury and Trading, Front Office areas and International Treasuries.

A qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) is required with prior experience in a similar function within an Investment Bank (due to the level of investment Banking product knowledge required) and strong systems skills including Excel and Access (minimum requirement of macros). The candidate must have strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to quickly understand complex issues, work to resolve the issue (escalating if appropriate) and conclude (documenting all stages of process appropriately).
