JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Process/Systems Analyst analyzes business processes and system requirements to identify business process improvement opportunities, create documentation, recommend solutions and assist implementing the chosen solutions. The analyst will define requirements and wrok with users and IT staff to create new business processes and improve business applications. The analyst will be responsible for formulating and defining system scope and objectives, assembling data, identifying problems, and developing recommendations that support the business delivery, customer service, and management of business processes.
The analyst will interact with internal users, development staff, external consultants and software vendors. The analyst will translate interviews and analysis of processes and documentation into process descriptions, requirements and solution specifications to be used to create new processes and evaluate system solutions. The analyst will also conduct business case development, guide solution selection, project initiation, elicit high-level project objectives, project success criteria, and create a business case document for proposed solutions. The analyst will guide selection of system solutions, evaluating alternative technologies, and selecting vendors. The analyst will also act as a liaison between the users, developers and consultants to develop user experience, configuration, implementation and training of the selected solutions. The analyst acts as a team lead in preparation, testing, and configuration of applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specifically, the duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Researching, analyzing, and creating current and future business processes, work flows and systems Assisting business units in the preparation of business process mapping, work flows and departmental procedures
- Analyzing business process, work flow requirements and business objectives of the stakeholders Understanding business requirements and translating them into specific software requirements Documenting current and future process and system requirements including process flows, data flow diagrams, data models, reporting formats and presentation layer requirements
- Obtaining business process understanding and requirements through analysis of documents, current systems, observation of business activities and interview of users and production staff
- Create and assist developing of cost analyses, and execution time-lines
- Researching, evaluating, and recommending systems and software to satisfy the organization’s business requirements
- Analyzing applications, solutions and other options to determine applicatibiblity to satisfy requirements Assisting implementation of systems including configuration, modification, setup, user documentation creation, and testing
- Assisting in the implementation of system modifications, enhancements, and new systems releases. Supporting the organization’s existing and future applications
- Interfacing between technology teams, support teams, vendors and business units
- Provide training on new processes and systems
- Develop and maintain end user documentation
- Preparing system documentation for developers and users in compliance with external requirements and internal standards
