Business Process Consultant

The Benefit Administration Optimization Solutions Team is responsible for driving business solutions that supports the Benefits Administration Community within KP's MSSA community. Each Business process Consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient and cost effective solutions that address a diverse range of complex problems or requirements. The Business Process Consultant will work closely with regional business and IT partners, vendors, and national partners to execute new solutions and policies. The Business Process Consultant will maximizes current and new technological capabilities relevant to functional area to develop and improve business processes, support workflow, and advance efficiencies Each Business Process Consultant will partner with the Business Solution architect to focus on the following: - Lead national, regional, and vendor teams through the development of highly complex end-to-end business requirements, processes, and policies to support the new product and initiative, including but not limited to: product design, sales, marketing, pricing, underwriting, provider network management, group administration, membership, claims, reporting, customer service, and employer services. - Utilize their execution capability to deliver on-going solutions that fits in the overall MSSA goals. - Store, maintain, track, and report on business requirements, process, and policy documents following the infrastructure and process to manage business requirements. - Perform impact assessments to processes and policies for new/changed requirements. - Represent the business in different arenas to provide education and to drive initiatives to completion. - Provide guidance on the priority for when new solution should be implemented and deployed. - Provide guidance on the direction and focus for business testing. This includes in providing the entrance and exit criteria for testing, developing and approving test scenarios and test strategy, and providing guidance on prioritizing testing issues and defects. This is a collaborative role with the Business Test Lead, KPIT Test Lead, and Vendor Test lead. - Effectively facilitate discussions and issues to bring items to resolution, assess issues/risks that impact the end-to-end continuity of processes and policies; develop recommended solutions to mitigate these issues/risks. - Develop and maintain alignment with national and regional executive stakeholders in relation to business process and policy strategic direction and future business objectives. - Assess new business strategies/objectives/requirements and develops recommended new/changed requirements, processes, and polices for presentation to the national and regional program leadership. This position is required to implement strategic initiatives within MSSA strategic goals. This includes EOC project, Healthcare Reform, and Xcelys. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Required: Four (4) to eight (8) years of process improvement, management consulting, change management, or related business experience. - Preferred: Nine (9) to twelve (12) years of process improvement, consulting, or related business experience. - Health care or insurance experience preferred. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. - Graduate degree preferred. - Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification may be required. - Broad knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
