Business Process Improvement Manager Job in Newark 07071, New Jersey US
Play a key role as an experienced process improvement practitioner and certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in supporting process improvement projects to reduce cost and complexity across the enterprise. Responsibilities will include conducting data collection and analyses; drafting and reviewing project deliverables and analyses such as value-stream mapping and statistical analyses; supervising business process analysts in a project team environment; and participating in Business Process Improvement (BPI) organization building and marketing activities. You will be interacting with senior division leadership and subject matter experts to develop solutions that improve process performance by increasing productivity and efficiency and/or managing process demand while enhancing the customer experience.
Responsibilities include:
- executing complex process improvement initiatives affecting multiple functions or businesses
- assessing change readiness and preparing plans for helping stakeholders through change
- identifying and presenting new project opportunities to leadership
- developing practical solutions/methodologies to solve complex business problems
- coaching/mentoring/training/assisting project team
- directing the analyses of process improvement analysts
- identifying and managing program risks and issues
- partnering with Finance to develop and track project metrics
- monitoring performance and improvement in key metrics
- delivering significant operational improvement and financial benefits to meet annual targets
The successful candidate we seek will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance or technical discipline, a minimum of 5 years business process improvement or process redesign experience, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification as well as the ability to deliver significant business results. Knowledge of change management challenges related to process improvement, lean and Six Sigma methodologies and MS Office products proficiency will be expected. Excellent leadership abilities and strong project management/presentation/interpersonal/communication/organizational skills are essential. Healthcare or Fortune 100 experience preferred. Minimal travel is required.
