Description The Business Process Principal combines expertise of several business process areas with vast knowledge of current IT technology tools to provide competitive solutions to enterprise-wide challenges. The Business Process Principal will interact with divisional management at the Department, Director and Vice President levels; making recommendations that can change face of our company to the external customer. Requirements Some travel will be required. This position may also interact with external customers directly. This interaction may take the form of coordinating with a customer's information technology department for EDI, master data, report data and scheduling of jobs. This position interacts with information technology development areas by rpoviding written statements of work that translate business requirements into technical specifications. This position interacts with the non-information technology business areas to help establish direction, improve customer service, reduce cost or provide for a competitive advantage through IT system deployment. Associate can evaluate, recognize need and establish change initiatives to meet business/technical needs. Associates can assess skills, anticipate development needs and promote learning of others. Associate can encourage leadership in others. Associate must posses the necessary leadership, team building, motivation, and delegation skills to efficiently coordinate the efforts of a team toward accomplishing a common goal. Associate will rely on vast experience, sound judgement and persistence to accomplish said goals. They may lead or direct the work of other team members and often report to the Project Lead, Team Lead or Manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. 12-13 yrs experience in IT including 4 yrs IT support work in the specific business/technical process area and 4 yrs with specific IT technology Bachelors Degree in related discipline or equivalent business/technical process work experience. Equivalent work experience must include 12 years specific business/technical process experience or equivalent IT support of said business/technical process. Specific knowledge of cross-functional business/technical process area and IT technologies indirectly affected. Specific knowledge of the current Office product suite. Good presentation skills, and meeting leadership and facilities skills. Specific knowledge of current IT technology toolset needed to support said business/technical process. Specific knowledge of the business/technical process area and the rules surrounding that process. Specific knowledge of project planning tools. Tasks Analyze business/technical opportunities and translate process into practice through the current IT tool sets. Project involvement is multi-disciplinary and complex in scope. Proactively identify enhancements that will meet changing business/technical needs. Develop strategic processes and direction for projects. Plan/manage integration and implementation of new technology or business process. Coordinate all varieties of testing necessary to provide for complete cross-functional integration and business acceptance. Troubleshoot unique or complex business problems. Sought as a resource for expert Hot Skill knowledge. Totally capable, fully self sufficient. Able to recommend appropriate corrective action of workaround. Create, track and manage project work plans, including resource commitments. Deliver on time and under budget. Coach other team members in techniques to collect, interpret and present data in ways that facilitate decision-making. Provides excellent knowledge transfer of Hot Skills to other junior level Business Processor team members. Assume leadership role in a medium-to-large size initiative by playing the part of a project manager, facilitator or sub-team lead. Project Manager may perform managerial activities such as hiring decisions, project staffing and contract management. Sub-Team lead may perform managerial activities such as hiring decisions, department staffing, execution of performance management processes and merit budget allocations for direct reports. Prepare and present reporting results on current initiatives to upper management.
