Business Reporting Analyst
The Business Reporting Solutions (BRS) team provide an end to end MIS delivery function focused on business Performance reporting across the Group. The BRS team act as the link between Enterprise Services (ES) and finance/business areas ensuring requirements are clearly defined and understood and that any resultant solutions provided are fit for purpose and designed in a manner which provides flexibility and responsiveness to changing business needs. Key services offered by the team include the following: Customer relationship management, business/technical analysis, application development and support, data delivery and support and report development, delivery and support.
You will be responsible for:
- Establish effective relationships with clients in business units, Finance Services and with service providers
- Manage client priorities and deliverables via a formalised customer engagement model including centralised and transparent pipeline management
- Manage project and BAU support deliverables in parallel to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction can be delivered
- Define and prioritise business performance and financial reporting needs in partnership with our clients, which where appropriate can support multiple divisions and business units, drive expected business outcomes and can be delivered in a timely and sustainable manner
- Challenge stated requirements to ensure a complete understanding of expected outcomes including benefits and underlying business drivers
- Provide timely and up-to-date business performance and financial information to the businesses to support decision-making
- Manage internal and external suppliers to deliver enhanced transparency to customers regarding the often confusing world of IT using appropriate language to facilitate better business engagement and understanding of any underlying dependencies
- Promote and drive the use of strategic data sets hierarchies in assisting to define and analyse business needs and solution requirements
- Deliver on agreed strategic initiatives as prioritised via business specific pipelines of work
- Promote and drive opportunities to broaden BRS's service offering and customer base by leveraging team capability and solution sets more effectively
- Apply process excellence principles to drive efficiency, create capacity and deliver business benefits
- Assist in the integration of major IT platform initiatives (BICD etc) including providing governance, end to end project management and ensuring benefit realisation
To be successful you will have:
- Experience in Business / technical analysis and project delivery
- Tertiary qualification (MIS/technical specialisation)
- Strong organisational, change management and project management skills
- Strong knowledge of self service reporting concepts and tools eg OBIEE, SSRS, Tableau
- In depth knowledge of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- SQL and BI development experience
