Job Description: The Chase Card Services Disaster Recovery Group establishes and supports an on-going resiliency planning program that will minimize downtime in the event of a disaster or significant outage. The Team supports a variety of testing for Disaster Recovery, Fail-over validation, database switchover, and third party Disaster Recovery validation. As an individual contributor supporting failover testing, you will work in a team environment to continue component level failover testing and mature the program to identify areas for improvement. In this role you will coordinate, schedule, and lead failover tests across a variety of redundant technologies and report any anomalies to the project/initiatives driving the test. This role requires frequent interactions and good relationships with the performance team, Application Developers, and Quality Assurance, as well as the appropriate System and Database Administrators - as the technology warrants. Key Responsibilities: The Business Resiliency job family includes roles related to the management of business resiliency functions such as disaster recovery. As a Business Resiliency Analyst, you will: · Manages resiliency for multiple business units and/or locations · Communicates resiliency risk to business management · Partners with Disaster Recovery to ensure the technology recovery is aligned with the business need · Manages mid-size to large projects · Conducts moderate to complex analysis of resiliency plans Major Duties: · Interface with the Project Delivery Process to implement and test redundant architecture · Coordinate the efforts of staff members in different functional areas to develop procedures for the continuity of traffic during one or more component disruptions · Develop and maintain standards and procedures for failover testing and reporting across technologies, tiers, and functions · Develop a scoring mechanism for scoring failover tests at a point-in-time and trending behavior over time (across multiple tests) to help with SLA analysis · Research new technologies that would improve resiliency, limit downtime, or improve performance when recovering from an outage · Ensure that as new equipment, facilities, services, and systems are installed that fail-over issues are addressed · Work with performance, development, and project teams to design, coordinate, and test infrastructure fail-over for middleware, systems and databases
