Business Resiliency Risk Manager, Private Bank Asia recruitment
The PB Asia Business Resiliency Manager, in partnership with the line of business, is responsible for the development/maintenance of a business resiliency program for Private Bank business units in the Asia. The program consists of recovery strategy development; assisting in the creation/maintenance of critical documentation, coordination of testing of recovery strategies, as well as, maintaining a viable crisis management plan.
The role encompasses business resiliency management for front office, middle office, operations and technology. Many of the interactions will be with senior level management in the organization. Other key internal partnerships include GTI, Audit and Operational/Information Risk Management teams.
This is a demanding position that would suit an intelligent, highly motivated, ambitious individual seeking exposure to a broad range of businesses and technologies across Private Bank. The 3 core responsibilities are: Leadership Expertise; Oversight and Quality Assurance:
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Partner with the business in the development of Business Resiliency Strategies, Business Impact Analyses and Business Continuity Plans to ensure that they are compliant with required standards.
- Ensure that Business Recovery Plans are maintained to meet recovery requirements, including end-to-end process reviews (internal/external dependencies providers).
- Report regularly on the status of the business, highlighting issues and achievements.
- Manage the testing of Business Recovery Action Plans.
- Identify gaps in recovery capabilities and manage their remediation in partnership with the business and technology.
- Partner with technology to ensure LOB owned applications and infrastructure fully meet the business recovery time objective requirements.
- Management of a command centre during major tests, which includes the reporting of significant issues and progress. Work with the business and/or technology to remediate issues identified during testing.
- Assist recovery support and business resumption staff in the event of a contingency event. Act as a coordinator during emergency situations. Play a key role in the AM Global Crisis Management process.
- Maintain an awareness of industry, business, product, technology and control issues that relate to Business Resiliency Planning.
- Partner with the Asset Management Resiliency Risk Management Team to ensure all corporate resiliency planning requirements and standards are met (i.e. monthly metric updates, completing and updating the monthly initiative report)
- Fully participate as a member of the AM Resiliency Risk Leadership Forum as required.
Skills
- Degree holder of above with 3 to 5 years previous experience with business continuity/resiliency.
- Membership/qualifications in resiliency risk/business continuity from a recognized professional institution is helpful but not essential.
- Strong client relationship and influencing skills, and the ability to interface with business, operations and technology contacts at all levels.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to operate independently, as well as in a team. Drive for results and use initiative in uncertain situations.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain tight control.
- Ability to adjust to sudden changes to meet business objectives.
