BUSINESS RISK AND CONTROL MANAGER recruitment
Introduction:
- the Business Risk Control Manager (BRCM) will take responsibility in the development, implementation and maintenance of a business aligned robust Operational Risk and Internal Control (ORIC) framework that is in compliance with Group Standards, with a specific focus on Global Banking Markets (GBM) Finance Business
- this role encompasses carrying out Internal Governance thematic reviews, control sample testing, end to end reviews and Key Indicator Monitoring across all support functions within GBM Finance
Principal Accountabilities:
- facilitate testing to ensure design and operating effectiveness of key controls across key risks within Global Banking and Markets Finance Hong Kong
- maintain firm's Internal Control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- assist with the completion of Risk and Control Assessments (RCAs) for Finance across all Global Banking and Markets asset classes and cross product functions within Hong Kong
- provide guidance on projects that have a SOX or Operational Risk impact
- act as the Operational Risk coordinator for the Global Banking and Markets Finance team
Experience/Skills Required:
- have an accounting qualification with five or more years' of experience in Product Control, Audit or Finance
- possess a good understanding of financial reporting and internal controls relating to Global Banking and Markets products and processes
- a working knowledge of derivatives products would be a strong advantage
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- strong organisational and project management skills
