BUSINESS SOLUTIONS MANAGERS recruitment

A major change that will increase the Bank’s influence on the stability of the financial system is the planned establishment in 2013 of the Prudential Regulation Authority as part of the Bank of England, with the remit of promoting the safety and soundness of banks and insurance firms.

To support the Bank and the Prudential Regulation Authority, a new function is being created within our IT Division to provide the primary interface between the business and IT. Two experienced IT or change management professionals are needed to manage the business relationships and lead the small teams in shaping the business IT strategy for the Bank. These roles will report to the Bank’s CIO and will be members of the IT Leadership Team.

One of the Business Solutions Managers will work closely with the Bank’s more analytical directorates: Monetary Analysis and Financial Stability.  They will also take responsibility for developing the portfolio of Bank-wide projects such as email and document management systems.  The second appointee will support our more operational directorates in Banking Services and Markets, and will also work with Central Services functions, such as HR and Finance.

Candidates will need to have strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to present and communicate effectively with senior management across the Bank. Experience of IT and business change project delivery, budget and people management are required, along with knowledge of how technology architecture can be developed to support business strategy.  Ideally candidates will have worked within either financial services or a research based business or organisation.

These are newly created roles which offer excellent opportunities for career development in a high profile and growing IT function.
