The Fundamental Equities division manages a full range of equity strategies that span the risk/return spectrum, along with several targeted opportunities in specific market sectors. The Fundamental Equity investment teams—consisting of portfolio managers, research analysts and traders—manage style-specific portfolios built on BlackRock company research in each major equity asset class.

Key Responsibilities:

The Business Strategist position supports the Global Head of Fundamental Equity (FE) and the broader FE Executive Team.  This position will be involved in supporting the strategic direction and initiatives of the FE organization and will offer an exciting career path for the successful candidate.

The Executive Team are looking for an individual who has a background in consulting and/or strategy and is well grounded in both data mining and financial markets. The individual must be a dynamic self-starter who is energized by a fast paced team environment and who is motivated to pursue excellence in all that they do. Responsibility will be given from day one and the individual will be asked to actively contribute to the business and the leadership team from the start. 

The role involves establishing an area of strategic expertise within FE at a global level and will require the candidate to also have an appreciation of the wider financial world and other asset classes.   The ability to think laterally is an imperative and the individual must be prepared to go the extra mile to produce outstanding work.

The person must be highly creative and have proven skills in translating data and concepts into information and creating world-class powerful decks via powerpoint (and other presentation tools) which are suitable for executives to present. The ability to create and convey stories is critical to the success of the role and we are therefore seeking an individual who has flair in this respect.
