BUSINESS SUPPORT ADVISER, TREASURY OPERATIONS

To work as part of a specialist team involved in the processing, settling and confirmation of Securities and Off Balance Sheet transactions in Treasury Operations. This will include applying interpretation of unique circumstances around each transaction as appropriate – and post process tasks such as the collateral management of Credit Support Annexes and Repo margin

AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:·
Provide support, advice and guidance in processing, confirmation and settling of Securities and Off Balance Sheet transactions and associated activities in accordance with established procedures. ·
Collate counterparty exposure data in respect to CSA and Repo exposure and in accordance with the legal agreements either call or deliver collateral as appropriate. · Monitor and record the currency and/or sterling movements over the range of Securities settlement accounts and provide these to the Bank’s Position Keeper.· Provide positional information to the Dealing room in respect to margin.·
Prepare counterparty Swap confirmations in accordance with the ISDA guidelines using standard templates.·
Input CREST and Euclid settlement information in accordance with deal information, margin movements ensuring cut off times are met.·
investigate problems, queries and issues, presenting basic conclusions and recommendations to more senior staff and identifying and highlighting trends and emerging issues.·

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:·
An in-depth knowledge of processing Securities and Off Balance Sheet transactions.· Good knowledge of the collateral management processes associated with Repurchase agreements and Credit Support Agreements.·
Good working knowledge of the legal documents underpinning Repo and Swap transactions.·
Good understanding of settlement entry generation, account band transaction reconciliations.·
Good understanding of the securities custodian settlement processes and procedures for CREST and Euroclear.·
Excellent PC skills and knowledge of spreadsheets.· Good communication and influencing skills.·
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.·
Extensive experience of Treasury processes and products.·
Excellent numerical and written skills·
