We are seeking a Business Support Officer to work within a new government project team. Based on the city fringe, this contract role provides administration support to Project Directors and works closely with transport industry representatives. The Business Support Officer will be responsible for:
- Providing secretarial and administrative support to the Project Directors
- Drafting of memorandums, newsletters, submissions and reports
- Management of diaries and scheduling, and coordinating travel arrangements
- Coordination of meetings, including venue hire and catering
- Developing policy and procedure documentation and database training manuals
- Ensuring project deliverables meet legislative and client requirements
- Provide support to users of the corporate database and systems
- Reconciling of corporate credit cards and creating purchase order numbers
You will have a high level of demonstrated written and verbal communication, and be able to liaise with key stakeholders both internal and external to the business. Your ability to plan and prioritise goals with competency in negotiating timeframes and deadlines will see you effectively assist the project team in this complex environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable learning new policies, procedures and legislation relating to government projects, and demonstrate a prior ability to understand and apply their initiative and problem solving abilities.
