Business Systems Analyst - HRIS
Organizational Objective/Purpose: Charles Schwab HR Services Solutions provides tools, information and services that support the employee life cycle and delivers solutions that ensure a seamless user experience, allowing employees to focus on our clients. This HRIS position, acting as both Business Analyst and System Administrator, will lead HR technology related projects from ideation through implementation. Working with HR, IT and other internal partners or external vendors, this role will be responsible for writing business requirements, contributing to functional specifications, resolving design and gap issues, which result in more effective HR systems for Schwab and our employees. The role requires a highly motivated team player who has the ability to see problems and solutions through the clientrsquo;s eyes. Great attention to detail and ability to work with multiple teams to deliver on project deadlines is essential. Candidate must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and have demonstrated ability to partner with organization members to drive process and system changes across many functional groups. The ideal candidate will have experience with talent management tools such as applicant tracking systems, performance management systems, among others and will have a proven ability to partner in order to implement or change these systems to the betterment of the organization and its employees. Brief Description of Role: Responsible for design, delivery and quality assurance of various HR, Employee, and manager Self-Service tools. Candidates with experience with talent management tools such as enterprise applicant tracking systems (PeopleFluent/Authoria, Taleo), compensation (total rewards) or performance management systems are highly desirable. Responsible for systems configuration and on-going maintenance of various HR Technologies to meet the needs of the organization. Responsible for analyzing projects to estimate effects on business, employees, and clients with the intention of finding solutions that reduce costs, improve customer service, provide information, respond to business needs and implement new or changing technology. Hands on involvement in systems from inception to delivery while partnering with project sponsors, IT partners, and cross-functional project team members Responsible for requirements gathering documentation, testing, and ensuring deployment plans are in place, including communication and training. The individual may be responsible for developing actual communications and training materials or work with subject matter experts. Manage and partner with vendor hosted solutions provide services for HR. This person will partner with external vendors to identify solutions which provide the best employee and manager experience for HR Technologies. Partner with the employee call center to support HRMS, Benefits, Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition inquires Technical/Functional Qualifications: 5 years experience in a complex HR or business technology role in a well-established and progressive organization. Prior experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Administrator with HRIS systems such as Authoria, Taleo, BrassRing, Peoplesoft, Lawson, SAP, ADP, etc. Strong ability to see business needs from the user point of view and translate those needs into a technical solution. The ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deliverables. Highly developed problem solving skills, including identification and execution of key analyses, ability to synthesize and present compelling recommendations. Solid understanding of the software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies and deployment management Able to create Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Test Scripts, and use best practice Testing methods and QA. Proven ability to partner with both internal technical and non-technical staff as well as third party vendors to deliver effective results. Ability to generate original ideas and foster out of the box thinking. Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization and clearly articulates business needs to internal partners and external vendors.
