Position Description
The Business Systems Analyst plans and conducts the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. They partner with stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and develop technical solutions that add value. They then create design specifications for systems to meet business requirements for new product offerings. The BSA may also plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing. May lead cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues.
Responsibilities and skills
Strong ability to translate high-level product requirements into detailed design specifications, including user-interface, data mapping, etc.
Quickly understand the business issues and data challenges of the organization and industry.
Monitor the marketplace for trends, competitive activity, technologies, and new value propositions.
Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with customers and a diverse group of managers and subject matter experts.
Minimum Requirements
4 years experience in business analysis, requirements definition and deployment of business requirements to information systems.
Experience with business intelligence, decision support, or equivalent preferred.
Healthcare experience a plus.
Experience with predictive modeling and/or data analytics a plus
Education
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
