SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position will function as the Information Services business partner primarily for Surgical Solutions Marketing Operations. This position will specialize in supervising mobile application development, website development, and campaign development. Ownership includes but is not limited to project management, system architecture, quality assurance, application support, and management of development (primarily out sourced). This position will have daily contact with the business community. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Business partner to Surgical Solutions Marketing team with secondary responsibility for other functions including Sales, Finance, Sales Operations, and Pricing. This candidate needs to be a trusted business partner for key stakeholders. 2. Understand business goals and propose technology solutions. Assess the requirements of technology solutions, including estimates of time, staffing and costs to implement and support. 3. Execute major projects to meet project objectives on-time and within budget. Drive project and business objectives while partnering with project team members; quickly identify and mitigate risks. Ensure that the transition to any new business tools goes smoothly and the end result is optimized for business outcomes. 4. Maintenance of existing solutions. Ensure the current portfolio of applications and infrastructure continues to meet business needs and can be supported. 5. Work closely with the Web and Mobile Applications centers of excellence to ensure that best practices are established and followed. 6. Maintain a working knowledge of the latest trends in mobile applications. 7. Ability to go from high level concepts to detailed specifics when discussing business and technology related issues. DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Participate and lead staff meetings and team meetings as required. 2. Develop an understanding of general industry usage of supported technologies. 3. Develop an understanding of business processes and business dependencies on supported technologies. 4. Develop relationships with supported customers and IS peers to ensure collaboration and teamwork necessary to accomplish organizational objectives. 5. Occasional travel required.
