Business Systems Analyst Job in London, Ontario Canada
Eagle is currently seeking one (1) Business Systems Analyst. This contract position is projected to be six (6) months in length and begin April 2012.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Working with business partners to understand and analyze their project business requirements and processes; and,
- Collaborating with developers and Solutions Architects to establish the technical vision while demonstrating an understanding of the business needs/requirements and being able to translate them into system/application and operational requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have:
- The ability to communicate complex technical problems and solutions in clear, simple language which can be understood by both technical and non-technical audiences;
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing priorities;
- Demonstrated experience from a systems requirements perspective in the delivery of large, complex, multi-business unit projects;
- Familiarity with project management and change control principles;
- Ability to perform complex work and analysis requiring a broad level of technical acumen;
- Demonstrated expertise in a variety of requirements and analysis methods including interviewing, data modeling, business process modeling and business object modeling;
- 2-4 years proven experience as lead business analyst on major projects;
- Self-starter with strong leadership and organization skills;
- Strong communication and presentation skills (oral and written);
- Solid knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC);
- Solid knowledge of “Use Case” and other requirements documentation methodologies;
- Familiarity with Project Management methodology (PMLC);
- Ability to facilitate meetings and requirements sessions;
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
- Delivery, business focused mindset; and,
- Familiarity with both mainframe, and distributed technologies.
