Business Systems Analyst Job in Parsippany, New Jersey Us
Position Purpose:
Provides systems support in developing and enhancing business systems to provide new or enhanced products to Internal External clients for effective planning, reporting, and analysis tools to internal functions.
Principal Accountabilities:
Under general supervision, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and requirements. Develops or modifies moderately complex information systems. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic as necessary. Guides and advises less-experienced Business Systems Analysts. Competent to work in some phases of systems analysis and considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
Minimum Education, Experience, Specialized Knowledge Required:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and 2-5 years experience in systems analysis. Knowledge of PC based technologies within the Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, Access and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Structured Query Language (SQL) and PC SAS.
Additional Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to translate client requirements and understand underlying infrastructure applications, systems and processes to enable execution of those skills. Proficient knowledge of IMS data and current systems.
