Business Systems Analyst Job in Surrey, Home Counties UK
Business Systems Analyst - North Surrey - 6/12 months Fixed Term Contract
Our client requires a Business Systems Analyst to provide analysis skills and support for a web based application developed using Java, OO programming, Oracle and Jaspersoft.
The role will include:
• Liaising with users to capture and log issues
• Investigating reported issues and resolving where possible
• Working closely with other Business Analysts and Domain Experts to understand and interpret clients' requirements and the application's functionality
• Aiding the developers in resolving reported software bugs
• Aiding and supporting User testing of new releases and working closely with the Client's Test Unit and Quality Assurance department
• Ensuring issues are monitored, updated and completed within accepted timescales.
• Logging and managing the incident reports received by the client for all support issues
• Providing reports for senior management on fault resolution call
• Improving current processes and instituting new processes for problem resolution and production management where necessary
• Reporting any risks or issues observed
Skills/experience required:
Essential:
Experience of Unix (OS)
Experience of supporting an ERP system
Oracle and PL/SQL
Report writing tools like Jasper or Crystal
JIRA or any bug/issue tracking tool e.g. Bugzilla
Desirable:
Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture
Oracle Application Server/OC4J experience
Oracle SOA Suite
JasperReports
Enterprise Architect or any UML modelling tool
System Design and Architecture Experience
Tax Domain Experience
Software deployment experience
Analytical, Planning Scheduling, Estimation skills
PLEASE NOTE - this is a fixed term contract for 6-12 months and will be paid at a permanent salary equivalent.
