*** SIX MONTH CONTRACT - with conversion to permanent *** Our client, a leading finance firm in Downtown Toronto is looking to fill a senior BSA role on a contract to permanent basis. The ideal candidate will assess, research, analyze and document business and systems needs, in order to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs.
Requirements
. Must have a minimum of 5+ years in financial, capital markets and investment banking operations, preferably interacting with Trading applications, Dataphile or ISM back-office applications. . Canadian Securities Course is a definite advantage.· IT Standards, SDLC Methodologies, Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) audit requirements
· Requirements gathering methods: interviewing, business process modeling and user interface design
· Different requirement methodologies: methodology of Object Orientation, Use Cases, iterative methodologies like Agile and traditional waterfall approach
· Must have strong data analysis skills.
· Strong Documentation Skills including Word, Excel, and Visio
· Knowledge of relational RDBMS (SQL Server/ Oracle).
· Knowledge of SQL - Must be able to write queries
· Knowledge of .NET or Java.
Key Accountabilities:
· Provides consulting services to business partners on new initiatives (small to large of varying complexity).
· Develops proposals for small to medium projects.
· Leads detailed requirement phases identifying, tracking, escalating and/or resolving business systems issues.
· Assesses, researches, analyzes and documents sponsor/stakeholder needs in accordance with Project Life Cycle and CMM deliverables utilizing reporting tools, and documentation methods.
· Identifies, tracks and resolves business systems issues.
· Recommends business solutions that satisfy sponsor/stakeholder needs, continually exploring and assessing options for value-add for clients.
· Together with Project Manager, determines best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives.
· Contributes to successful project completion within budget and on time by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
· Designs high-level workflows.
· Defines change management procedures
· Design and document test cases.· Facilitates small to large meetings and conducts information gathering sessions.
