The PDMS is comprised of an integrated set of tools (COTS LIMS, ELN, CDS and custom Product Release Module) which automate the product testing and release process, encompassing the development, quality and manufacturing disciplines. PDMS functionality includes integration with other development, quality, regulatory and manufacturing applications such as ERP, QMS, MES and other corporate product information management systems. The PDMS facilitates QC testing as well as the QA product release process, including sample chain of custody, automated specification updates, scheduled automated notifications, sample forecasting scheduling, instrument data capture processing, COA generation and report writing scheduling. Samples processed include environmental monitoring utility samples, product process samples, stability samples, and new product samples being tested in QC and Development laboratories.
Job Responsiblities
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for:
• Developing and troubleshooting reports (Business Objects Crystal Reports) and methods (Empower2, StarLIMS ELN, and LimsLink) based on requirements provided by the PDMS deployment team, business users and procedures• Providing technical support to internal PDMS teams to assure user satisfaction
• Troubleshooting applications and resolve issues to assure proper performance
• Developing instrument connections to the PDMS via networked RS-232 interfaces and JScript
• Managing device (e.g. LACE) configurations and work with IT to push changes to users as required
• Managing application enhancements and customizations to assure user requirements are met
• Providing data migration support as requested
• Creating and providing technical training content as requested

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of experience in a regulated, cGxP environment
• Must be able to read and understand a wide variety of Microbiological and Analytical laboratory procedures
• Experience with Empower2 and Business Objects Crystal Reports
• In-depth knowledge of 21CFR Part 11 regulations
• Must be able to travel, domestic and international, approximately 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
• 1-3 years experience with programming such as Visual Basic or Java
• Working knowledge of RDBMS concepts and querying
