We are currently recruiting for Business Systems Analysts (BSA) - Staff or Senior level in our Hillsboro, OR, Fiserv office.

Job Purpose

 

The primary purpose of these positions is to serve as a Business Systems Analyst for all Electronic Banking Services projects. There are 2 positions available.  Please note: One of the positions will require an individual with business banking/cash management experience. 

 

The BSA helps facilitate the identification of the business needs and features and the translation of those needs and features into requirements that Architects, Development and QA can use to design, build and test the system.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Requirements Elicitation and Analysis – Identifies stakeholders and facilitates discussions or workshops with the purpose of eliciting and understanding stakeholder needs, requirements, and priorities.  Further develops features and requirements into a fully-formed project vision that describes the needs, features, constraints, and scope of a project. Presents and gains acceptance of the Features, Requirements, and Vision and manages change through the project lifecycle.  For non-project work, engages appropriate parties to facilitate the identification of problem and root cause, and facilitates problem-solving.

 

Use Case Modeling – Working from the features and needs defined by the project vision, identifies Actors and Use Cases that describe the scope of the project.  Structures and diagrams the resulting Use Case Model, taking advantage of opportunities to extend, include, and abstract use cases within the model.  Identifies all alternate and exception flows and defines detailed behaviors of the system for each use case and flow, as the priorities and schedule of the project warrant.  Presents and gains acceptance of Use Cases and manages change through the project lifecycle.

 

Product Design – Formulates the software specifications that implement the behaviors described by the Use Cases in the manner prescribed by the User eXperience Design.  Documents the software specifications completely and unambiguously, satisfying the needs of development, quality assurance, technical communicators, and other internal customers and stakeholders.  Presents and gains acceptance of specifications and manages change through the project lifecycle.

 

Features and Requirements Traceability – From project vision through product delivery, facilitates and maintains requirements traceability.  Reviews development and quality assurance artifacts for traceability purposes.  Participates in User Acceptance Testing to confirm that the coded product successfully implements the software specifications and User eXperience Design.

 

Job Skills

 

Meeting Facilitation – Identifies appropriate participants and manages meeting planning and logistics.  Facilitates creation of and enforcement ground rules.  Utilizes proven facilitation techniques for focusing the meeting participants, managing non-essential discussion points, and achieving consensus.

 

Project Planning and Coordination – Participates in creation of RUP Development Case and Iteration Planning, and manages the timely execution of tasks according to the Plan.  Defines ‘critical path’ activities and ensures cross-team coordination and communication.

 

Project Estimation – Within the required degree of confidence, provides estimates for projects and tasks of various sizes.  Provides documentation and rationale to support estimates.

Education

 Degree in Information Systems/Technology, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
