Technical Product Manager/Retail Channels (6 month contract with possible conversion to full-time)

5-10 years experience
Functional Skills:
Ownership of a product/E-application throughout its life span
Ensures the success of the product/e-commerce application beyond the term of any one project
Understands long term business strategy and objectives
Defines the product/ e-commerce application

Develops Product Requirements Documents PRD; creates and manages based on his/her understanding of the business domain and competitor landscape
Develops Functional Requirements; ability to mentor/manage business analysts to get the functional requirements delivered
Develops Design Specifications
Works with the UI team to define navigational flow and user experience
Collects estimates; Co-ordinates independently with technical teams ( Dev, QA and release) to get estimates
Prepares a detailed project plan for a release
Executes the release
Manages the triage process to prioritize and resolve issues during the stabilization phase
Keeps stakeholders informed
Understands different software development Life cycle methodologies (Waterfall, Agile etc.) and can adapt to the organizational needs
Lead meeting with business stakeholders and IT stakeholders to review status of IT projects in progress. New projects are reviewed in this meeting, and identified for scoping or prioritization. Maintain artifacts and communicate out weekly.
Lead weekly meeting with IT Application Development Directors and QA Director to status all projects for review with the business. Maintain artifacts and communicate out weekly .

Role will be in the IT organization and will work closely with both business stakeholders and IT stakeholders. Business stakeholders include Sales, Marketing, Ecommerce, Call Center and Manufacturing. IT Stake holders include development, QA, BA, Project Management, infrastructure, and Service Delivery. Development and QA will include both state side and offshore resources
Role will manage between 35-50 different web sites across all stakeholders. Ability to work in a very fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to navigate a corporate environment
Have experience with both Waterfall and Agile software development life cycles.
