Business Systems Developer/Analyst, Mediterranean.

Global Investment Company with a strong dedication and investment to their technology, structure and procedures is seeking a Business Systems Developer to join their office based in the Mediterranean.

In the process of undergoing SAS 70 certification which will result in various process improvements. These will be implemented by Business Systems as well as other teams to ensure delivery and meeting the company objectives.

Our client manages on a daily basis large volumes of data and maintain archives of historical data, which are used in areas as diverse as attribution analysis and slippage, to leverage and asset levels per class.

As a high technology manager our client has to provide regular reports and statistics to its investors, including analysis of competitor data and its own performance data. They also create and support a number of documents which are circulated regularly to a large distribution group. In order to deliver value to management, the investors and the marketing team, thus role will require continuous liaising with the business units and a strong understanding of the products, the industry, key success factors, competitors, and the information sources available.

To be success in this role you will have to be willing to learn, a team player, participate in meetings, present technical analysis and results and take the initiative to suggest solutions and solve problems, providing a real input to the information needs of the group.

*Extensive involvement with the development and maintenance of the client's investor servicing systems, including their website, online investor reports and account access, and investor data security.
*Specification, development and support of the company's marketing systems, including the CRM system, marketing reports, third-party information systems, and other related applications.

Requirements:

You will have initiative, a critical approach to your work, experience in a varied, fast-moving project environment, knowledge of databases, a desire to build flawless systems, and a background in the development and design of large complex software systems.

*Honours Degree in computing or numerate fields
*Background in Financial instruments
*Development experience and a minimum of 1 year experience in the financial industry
*Experience using MS Visual Studio 2000/2005 ASP .NET, C#
*Experience using MS SQL Server 2000/2005
*Experience in Graphics designing (PhotoShop, PaintShoPro, Illustrator)
*Design development of Web applications (.NET, HTML, Java/VB Script, IIS)
*Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
*Excellent communications interpersonal skills

Desirable requirements:

*Previous experience in portfolio accounting and investment services platforms
*Knowledge of Advent Geneva or knowledge of similar fund accounting platform
*Experience in SQL Server Administration
*Experience in SUN Solaris Linux Operating Systems
