Business Unit Controller – Interest Rates – Counterparty Portfolio Manager recruitment
Position Description
The roles involve Controller functions supporting the Counterparty Portfolio Management (CPM) desk
• Responsibilities will include:
o Producing the daily PL and attribution analysis
o Daily, weekly and monthly reporting and commentary on the book PL
o Day-to-day liaising with the trading desk and IT regarding issues relating to PL and balance sheet.
o Responding to adhoc queries.
• Production and review of the PL will allow the candidate to develop an understanding of both Interest Rate and Credit Derivatives
• There is extensive interaction with the business units and the support functions across both Finance and Operations.
Skills Required
We are looking for a strong candidate, preferably with an accounting background. Other requirements include:
o Highly committed and self motivated
o High regard for attention to detail and accuracy
o Must be confident and have strong communication skills
o Pro-active in solving ad hoc requests/issues from business units.
o Ability to manage time effectively, in order to complete required tasks is essential
Skills Desired
• PL production/product experience within Credit is preferred.
• Qualified accountant preferred
