Business Unit Controller recruitment

A global custody firm are looking to hire a interim Business Unit Controller for 3 months. The firm has continued to thrive throughout the recession and will look to continue to expand throughout 2012.

The role will specifically cover:

*Forecasts and analyses monthly segmented financial results into readily understandable reports/narratives
*Leads financial planning, provides insights and operational budgets for Market Products and Treasury
*Working with Management Reporting Team, coordinates consolidation of segmented results and provides variance analysis at segment level
*Develops and implements business unit performance metrics and analysis
*Provides financial analysis and reporting in support of strategic projects and new business initiatives
*Raises awareness about cost and revenue drivers and identifies opportunities for lasting savings
*Working with Statutory and Regulatory Reporting Team, explains accounting and regulatory issues to Global Business Head to the extent these issues impact commercial decisions

In order to be considered for this role, you will require:

-An accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or overseas equivalent)
-Extensive product control knowledge across a range of asset classes such as Treasury, Money Markets and Credit
-Financial Services experience (Investment Banking or Investment Management is preferred)
-Management Information Reporting background, preferably focusing on cost drivers.
