Business Unit Controller recruitment
As a key member of the Financial Control team, this individual will be
responsible for overseeing all accounting for the respective Business Units. The
individual in this position will be Financial Control's single point of contact for the
respective Business Unit's Finance Director.
You will carry out the following:
- Own the resolution of all accounting issues related to Financial Control and delivery raised by Finance community
- Conduct monthly Balance sheet reviews, providing meaningful commentary to the FD's and comfort around controls in place
- Participate and/or lead 'deep dive' balance sheet analysis for the Business Unit or for various balance sheet areas
- Takes an active role in gaining a deep understanding of the balance sheet
- Responsible for the setting up of SLA's for Financial Control gaining agreement from the Business Area
- Supports the Finance Business Partners and their team on non-routine
areas of bookkeeping and accounting matters - Undertake quality assurance activity to ensure the integrity of the financial data remains with the highest standards and that adequate financial and process controls are in place
- Proposes and implements innovative solutions to ever-changing financial statement reporting requirements
- Managing change and leveraging systems to enable new reporting requirements to be met, and to deliver step change improvements in the consistency, reliability and efficiency of financial reporting
- Support Cluster Group-wide Finance change initiatives
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the respective Business Unit strategies and business plans, as well as Financial Control group strategies
- Manage and develop the team
