Job Description POSTED INTERNALLY 3/19/12 - 3/26/12 Summary Installs, maintains and/or repairs PBX, key systems, network, special customer equipment and facilities . General Duties Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs installation and maintenance of PBX, key system equipment and stations requiring inside wiring, single line and multiple line business station equipment and associated apparatus. Performs installation and maintenance of voice, data, ancillary equipment, network services and special customer equipment. While performing the above functions may be required to identify and repair facilities outside of the customer? s equipment location up to and including the central office/pair gain unit, special service circuit shelf/channel equipment and frames. Performs all duties associated with CZT II and other related duties including recognizing and pursuing potential revenue producing opportunities. Basic Qualifications PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This job normally requires climbing poles and/or ladders up to 35 feet high; lifting 30-50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds infrequently; pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, crawling and manual dexterity; and good color vision. Advanced training in Electronics and/or related work experience desired; experience typically gained through company sponsored training in AC/DC Theory, Basic Electronics and Digital Logic Fundamentals and previous work experience as an Installer Maintainer, Customer Zone Technician II or in a related military field. Required Skills Minimum 2 years experience with Avaya and NEC PBX Avaya Certified Maintenance, Repair and Programming of PBX. NEC Certified Maintenance, Repair and Programming of PBX Must have experience on Moves Adds and Changes on Avaya Communication Manager. Must have experience Adding, Programming and deleting all types of services, (VoIP, Digital and Analog). Nortel PBX and System Certification is a Plus. Required Experience 3 plus years Avaya and NEC Experience.
