Business/Change Analyst recruitment

Opportunity
Exciting new opportunity to join our Finance team and focus on new change initiatives (ie; process improvements following on from the implementation of our new Finance system [Hyperion]).

- To analyse business needs of Finance to deliver solutions and process improvements.
- To document the requirements of Finance and facilitate the technical specification of proposed solutions.

Key responsibilities

- Works proactively/closely with business to analyse, investigate and define business requirements
- Obtains a clear understanding of the existing processes and potential impact and benefits where appropriate
- Participates in the definition and documentation of user requirements with Senior BA and manages feedback from reviewers.
- Contributes towards the definition and documentation of the new processes and the relevant documentation
- Works with the FSS Team to convert users' business requirements into functional specification.
- Understands impact of a project on other systems/business areas
- Initiates contact with wider MG business to investigate current business processes which relate to Finance and suggests how to streamline them.
- Produces appropriate testing plans for proposed implementations and assists in system testing and UAT strategy.
- Documents FSS internal processes and plays a key role in communicating these to the wider user community.
- Assists Finance Teams on own area of expertise; provides guidance and support to others.
- Shows resolve and flexibility to achieve successful results despite setbacks or obstacles, maintaining composure in difficult situations.
- Supports the change process throughout the various stages of development implementation.
- Maintains the FSS intranet page, introducing articles of interest and current developments in Finance process change.
- Collates action points from fortnightly FSS User forum and ensures that they are assigned to the relevant member of the FSS Team.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks as required by Head of Financial Systems

What we are looking for

Skills/experience:
- Capable of liaising confidently with senior management, sponsors and senior members of Finance
- Able to influence the solution, business users and sponsors
- Participates in driving and shaping the Financial Systems team and initiating developments within the wider Finance team
- Challenges, drives change and proactively realises opportunities for improvement
- Builds and maintains a network of contacts within the business, developing relationships and utilising them to produce positive delivery
- Has a good understanding of the complete finance management and statutory reporting process
- Strong technical knowledge of existing in house systems
- Definition and documentation of business requirements.
- Modelling of business processes
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel/VBA skills)
- Maintains ongoing communication with all project participants and stakeholders and ensures that any identified issues are resolved.
