Fortune 500 company in St. Louis, MO is currently looking to add two Sr. Systems Analysts (Technical Business Analysts) to their expanding team. Both positions reside within the Emerging Technology department and are heavily involved as liaisons between the end users and technical teams during the development of cutting edge applications (currently developing numerous iPod/iPad applications). This is a highly visible, customer-facing role and we are looking for a candidate that requires little to NO supervision, driven, enthusiastic, detail oriented, multi-tasker, learns quickly, can adapt to company culture and can work in a very FAST paced in the mobile and e-commerce group.
Responsibilities:
The System Analyst is responsible for the scope of the project from definition of the technical requirements through their implementation. The analyst needs to be able to communicate effectively with the business team (and be an advocate for the requirements) as well as communicate with the development team. We are looking for a senior person to perform the following functions:
- Work closely with business owners and impacted technology teams to fully define technical requirements based on general concepts that are not fully defined
- Capable of leading high pressure discussion with demanding external and internal clients
- Thoroughly document and be the subject matter expert for the technical requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Document and manage changes in scope for escalation through the approval process
- Work closely with the development staff to articulate the requirements and clearly define and communicate scope
- Recognize, document, escalate, and coordinate resolutions for issues that occur throughout the project lifecycle
- Create and/or review test plans and test cases to ensure the developed solution meets business objectives
- Participate in the testing cycle(s) to ensure that the right level of quality is present in the final product
- Document and track status against the project delivery teams deliverables, tasks, and issues
- Communicate status and facilitate meetings as needed
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to accurately elicit, clarify and document project requirements
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly
- Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify and communicate business and technical needs and collaborate in the design / implementation of system solutions
- Ability to translate complex or nebulous business requirements into easy-to-understand functional requirements that the development team can translate into design.
- Attention to detail with crisp follow-up on assigned tasks
- Ability to multi-task on several concurrent projects
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to interact comfortably with various levels of management
- Technical background is a must have
- Prior background in the mobile and ecommerce space is a plus
