Buy Side Equity Analyst recruitment
Our client, a leading investment manager, is seeking an Equity Research Analyst to work within their Edinburgh team. The Equity Research Analyst is required to apply their sector expertise to arrive at the best possible stock selection within the Global Industrials and Utilities sector in order to meet or exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities of the Equity Research Analyst:
- Generate and communicate stock recommendations on Industrials and Utilities products
- Apply sector expertise to help geographic portfolio managers make investment decisions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of economic and market trends
- Investigate and analyse economic and market trends and assist in formulation of ‘house view’ and strategic recommendations
- Construct or adapt financial models to understand the implications of changes for future earnings, cash flows and balance sheet metrics, relative to the current expectations of analysts
- Apply a range of valuation approaches (including multiples, cash yields and intrinsic measures) in order to make a considered judgement
Background of the Equity Research Analyst:
- Experience working specifically within Equity Research/Analysis or similar essential
- Experience analysing stocks within the industrials and/or utilities sector highly desirable
- Buy side experience preferable but not essential
- CFA highly desirable but not essential
- Bottom up experience preferable but not essential
