Buy side Equity research analyst – Associate/VP
A large successful Asset management firm are currently looking to add to their team in New York.
You will take the lead coverage for Brazilian Utilities and provide support coverage on Power, Telecoms, Metals Mining within the Brazilian Market.
This is one of the leading asset management firms with a highly regarded group and excellent returns over the last 3 years therefore applicants should have work experience from a leading name in addition to an excellent academic record.
Your responsibilities will include:-
- Working as a member of the Latam Equity investment team.
- Generated stocks’ recommendations based on several valuation techniques and scenario analysis for the utilities and Power, Telecoms, Metals Mining industries.
- Working as the lead analyst for the Brazilian fund manager and assisting on portfolio management responsibilities.
- Providing secondary coverage for other industries.
- Coaching interns and junior analysts on building valuation model and conduction primary research.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experience equity analyst to make the move into a large, established and growing Asset management firm with a key focus on the LATAM markets.
You will be taking the replacement position for an analyst who have recently moved into portfolio management within the firm and will have the opportunity to take the same career path.
There is possibility for relocation however all applicants must have Prior Approval to work in the US.

Sell side applicants should be able to demonstrate where they have researched and authored equity written reports and valuation models on the appropriate stocks covered in the utilities sector and developed investment ideas with local and foreign investors.
