Buy Side Equity Research Analyst, Global Equities, Asset Management Firm
Our client is a leading asset management firm, who are looking to add a relatively senior level Analyst to their global team.
The role, a buy-side analyst position, will report to the head of research. The analyst will be required to work independently on research projects and investment ideas to provide the portfolio managers with day-to-day analysis of news flow as well as detailed research of specific stocks. An ability to quickly develop knowledge of the business models/economics of the various consumer businesses and the nuances of specific stocks as well as to understand our investment decision support tools (eg DCF model) will be critical.
Desirable educational and professional background:
· Top tier university with a maths, science or economics degree
· Started or ideally completed the CFA
· Buy side/ sell side equity analyst with 5 years + experience
· Management consultant with 5+ years experience
· Investment banker with 5+ years experience
Desirable skills/characteristics:
· Proven interest in investment and financial markets
· Self motivated and happy to work with limited direction
· Understanding of investment decision making tools (discounted cash flow and relative valuation metrics)
