Buy-side: Equity Research Analyst recruitment
Our client, a global private equity investor, is looking to appoint a Senior Stock and Commodity Exchange Equity Analyst (8+ years' experience) as they look to create a detailed, global view on the major international and domestic stock and commodity exchanges and build their portfolio in this space.
Role:
- Bottom up, research driven, multi-manager environment.
- To undertake sector and company research on Major International Stock Exchanges and companies via company visits primarily, trade journals, own network, industry experts and brokers to understand the industry and its characteristics and the effects of change on an organisation's current and future financial performance and share price.
- Participate in management of money in the Stock Exchanges sector
- Establish, develop and maintain relationships between our client and companies.
- Contribute to the development of the Research Portfolio, private equity funds and other portfolios.
Responsibilities:
- Quality: Responsible for quality and accuracy of own research. Every analyst is responsible for having working financial models for the companies under coverage.
- Coverage: Propose coverage plan. Implement and maintain. Make sure that both the coverage list and the action list are correct for stocks under coverage.
- Communication: Responsible for the communication of his / her research. At least one sector review per year must be produced.
- Assessment: combination of peer assessment, self-assessment and benchmark performance.
- Research Portfolio Construction: Primary responsibility for stock picking.
- Propose ideas for sector bets.
The ideal candidate will already have significant coverage of one or more stock exchanges (LSE, Deutsche Borse, NYSE Euronext, CBOE etc.) an insight into the sector and an understanding of the drivers of future growth.
