Operations Analyst / Hedge Fund / London
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work as part of an operations team supporting an established London based Asset Manager. You must have 1-3 years + experience of Buy Side Ops and be looking for the next step in your career.
The role will be diverse, and we are looking for an individual who has a broad range of operational experience, ideally with knowledge of investment management, portfolio management systems, performance analysis and reconciliations. There will also be the requirement to cross train into other areas of the middle office role to provide cover as and when required.
Responsibilities will include:
• Ensure that that the Portfolio Management System (Advent APX) is fully up to date each morning (all trades, prices and account data has been input, reports and reconciliations have been updated).
• Reconcile Fund NAVs, including review of investment restrictions and analysis of performance.
• Monitor and resolve position breaks and failing trades
• Complete RFPs related to our Funds
• Prepare presentations and client portfolio reports
• Assist with portfolio and performance analysis and reporting
Additional Function:
• Create new and enhance existing management reports

They will need to be analytical, IT savvy, possess excellent problem solving skills and have the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Pro-active and flexible in approach, the individual will need to be able to work on multiple tasks are required on a daily basis.
Experience:
1 to 3 years within buy side firm, administrator or prime broker
Experience with Advent APX is a strong plus
Skills Education:
University degree in Finance or Mathematics
SQL programming is a major plus
