The Role
Working closely with the commercial team to effectively manage buying activities for the portfolio of products you are responsible for; in the most cost effective and profitable manner, ensuring regular un-interrupted availability of bulk and pre-packed products; minimising overstock situations and write-offs; thus enabling the company to meet SALES, COST PROFIT TARGETS
The Person
•Your experience needs to be in the food sector ideally in the ingredients/raw materials field.
•You' ll probably already have a good understanding of a relevant supplier base and will certainly understand international shipping and currency protocols.
•You will be able to ensure that the supplier base is robust, effectively managed and has the required traceability and specifications procedures in place.
•In this fast moving environment you'll stay close to customer needs and will communicate well with your manager, other team members and suppliers.
•We're looking for someone with drive and passion coupled with a detail conscious approach to procurement with an excellent understanding of procurement
