Goodrich Aerostructures in Chula Vista, CA is looking for an entry level Buyer/ Supply Chain Professional to join our Site and Supply New Program Introduction team. In this position you will research, locate and help establish new sources of supply in locations around the world to support New Program Introduction cost targets. Develop, prepare, send, receive, analyze, and document request for quotes (RFQ) for a wide range of products. Apply principles of Lean and Continuous Improvement to reduce waste and improve the organization's effectiveness and efficiency; participate in Continuous Improvement events and weekly Continuous Improvement activities. Develop project timelines and establish visual controls to manage projects in support of work transfers, participate in Supplier conference calls, and perform follow-up activities to track the progress of efforts to develop new suppliers overseas. Support make/buy activity and maintain visual controls of the Site Supply Guidance Management Team room.
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business or similar degree (Marketing, Finance, International Business, etc) with 0-2 years of Supply Chain experience or an MBA with 0-1 year of experience in Supply Chain Management. In lieu of a degree, 4 years of Supply Chain Management experience will be considered.
